Interviewd by Alex & answered by Xaphan Hailz Xaphan how is everything? How are you working for a sacrifice of the nazarene child fest? Things are going well. Xul and I have been working on writing the music for the next album and Hammer will come down in June at which time we’ll do some pre-production on it and prepare for the fest. How is the presentation of KUT OV AZAZEL going to be over there? Are ya’ll planning something malignant? It will be hatred fueled that’s all I can say. We don’t use any props or bullshit like that. We just get up and do our thing and let the music do the talking. No theatrics, just four guys possessed. Tell us more about the past live performances; ya’ll where in CANADA right? How about the experience over there? I didn’t get to see much of it since we arrived the day of the show in Toronto and left later that night after it was over. I also happened to get sick on our drive up from Florida so most of the day I spent in a hotel room trying to snap out of it. The show itself was great and there were many there in support so I would have to say overall the experience was killer. Was the split CD that you made with KRIEG like you've been waiting for? That split is old news for me. Our portion at the time I believe was alright and I personally enjoy the Krieg tracks yet I know he has stated in the past he wasn’t with his songs but overall I believe it was a strong release for both bands. A lot of people out of the US think that black metal is too little and doesn't have any level, what can you tell me about those commentaries? A lot of people are morons and those types of comments are perfect examples of stupidity and there seems to be a lot of this more than ever with those who consider themselves a part of the black metal “scene”. Also a reason I have very little contact with anyone outside of doing interviews nowadays. Your lyrics are so antichristian and some other religions, tell me what the concept of your music is? There is no concept only the goal of spreading blasphemies against all monotheistic religions. I tolerate no religion in the “the trinity of lies” that being Judaism, Christianity and Islam. This hatred plays a big part into the lyrics I write. Your influences are generally the old POSESSED, VENOM etc what do you think about the bands of now that generally are making music with melody with female voices or keyboards, would you play with any type of that style music or will always stay in the CRUDE and TRADITIONAL metal music. I will always play black metal in the raw and traditional vein. In the past I was very anti keyboard and female opera vocals. Nowadays I can take keyboards to an extent meaning I think sometimes when used in moderation they can add a atmosphere to a certain degree but what I can’t stand still is keyboard drenched black metal. As for the female opera vocal shit I can do without. I can also say that neither of those two elements will ever come into play with Kult ov Azazel. Do you know any bands of BLACK METAL in PERU? I am familiar with Grave Desecration, Levifer and Goat Semen. Any commentaries about the invasion of the US ARMY in IRAK? I am by no means an anti-war person so I support the war and any future ones. Do you plan to do a show out of the US? Currently we are in talks about some Canadian dates. When will we be hearing the new work of KULT OV AZAZEL?
