Interviewed by Eymeric & answered by Xul

Hail Xul! How are you guy currently doing?

Right now everything is in full force. We are currently rehearsing for a show in Philadelphia, PA with Bloodstorm and Decieverion. We are flying up August 8th just to do this one off show. After this ritual we will start writing some new material for some upcoming releases.

Can you introduce us the latest KOA album, in a general way?

The new album is called "Oculus Infernum", which means: the eye of hell. This album is our second full length on Arctic Music. Oculus Infernum features two new members, Nocturath on guitar and The Hammer on drums. It's just been released, so anyone into sick black metal should take note.

Well, if you don't mind, I'd like you to speak about each title of Oculus Infernum, and this will be a kind of "original" interview. Feel free to tell us about music, lyrics, how it sounds like, the way it has been written (mood, influences, etc.)…

The whole album had the same feeling and intensity invoked for each song; hate, misanthropy, and war towards christianity. The new album as a whole has a lot of changes compared to "Triumph of Fire", our first album. We experimented more with duel guitar parts and harmonies to add more of a darker feeling to the music. This album is definitely not the same as our past efforts and it looks like in the future we will continue down this path. The music and lyrics were written by the whole band; everyone contributed more on Oculus Infernum. We did experiment with some slower parts in 'Invoking the Infernal Majesty' and added more diversity to the percussion aspects on the album.

Well, before we finish the interview, can French metalfreaks hope to see you desecrating our "cuntry" in the forthcoming months?

Unfortunately I don't see that happening in the near future. We would like to tour and have had a couple things come up but nothing solid came out of it. Right now we have been doing a couple one off shows but due to everyone in the bands schedule it has been difficult. We always keep busy, so if we don't have the opportunity to tour we will be writing new music. Our goal is to not let another two year period go by without a new album.

Ok Xul, a thousand thanxxx for your availability. If you guy want to add something, feel free to do it now! Hail and see you soon maybe!
