Dark descents into blasphemic dimensions unknown. Essence of oberon and eibon is omniscient. Hate. Blackened force of will dominates. The apocalypse on command. Astral majicks focused. Demonic furies harnessed. Nocturnal atmospheres created. Visceral ecphonetic birth: Kult Ov Azazel.
Commence the rites of astral motive, and journey to the searing core of that which is opposite to light and unleash that which was hidden: the superion purpose of the Kult.
The superior purpose of this band is to continue the tradition of black metal by composing hymns of utter hate and disgust towards the monotheistic society we currently are stuck in. It's to sing praises to the dark forces that enable us to strike out with musical vengeance.
Contemplation of unknown subterranean planes, transcendental illuminations revealed. Pestilent plagues of desert refused, reveal the natures of the Kult's spiritual centre:
The core of this band from the start has always been Xul on vocals and bass, and myself on guitar and occasional vocals. Over the years there have been many transformations of this group, with the variable always being the drummer. At the current time, we have a full complete lineup that looks to be the final formation. The lineup that stands now is Xul- bass/vocals, Xaphan-guitar/vocals, Nocturath-guitar/vocals and Hammer-drums.
Realizations of inverted manifest destinies acknowledged, detail the alchemic transmutation from unpure ethereal life code to it's physical application on a daily basis, removed of the Kult sphere of influence.
My everyday life is no different outside the Kult's influence. Just about 100% of my time is spent concentrating on what this band has to do and accomplish. So to try and remove the Kult from my everyday life is impossible.
A single venomous seed. Germination. Obscene tendrils of malignancy unchecked result in genesis of the Kult. Bring forth the unholy ark that holds the covenant, and recite from its pages, the summoning of the Kult.
The seed was christianity. The germination our hate. It goes back to our birth, our beginning and will be with us to the end. What summoned the Kult was the dark force, the internal blackness that only few see.
Will to power, thought to action, concept to atrocity, the executors of the malefic attack are revealed as: Slaughter of the divine initiated with "Order of the Fly"(1999). Incant upon the sonic mission and the lyrical vision for this propylaeum of the Kult into the aural realm of blasphemy.
This was originally released under the moniker "Azazel" and then was re-issued by Blood Fire Death once the name was changed to Kult ov Azazel. We recorded it in our warehouse using an 8 track. The lyrical content of this dealt with astral projections, hell, the destruction of christianity and mythology.
From concept to execution, look back upon "Order of the Fly" with the unflinching eye of cold experience and evaluate it's reception by the masses, and the level of satisfaction of the Kult itself.
Looking back I have no regrets about this release. It was our first as a band and to this day I'm still proud of what we accomplished with the release of it. I guess if it could be done over again I wouldn't change a thing. The hordes worldwide seemed to appreciate this release and it got mixed reviews from people but all in all it was received fairly well yet many would not know what was to come.
The Kult revealed itself a second time in 2001with the 4-way split with the hordes of Thylord, Obitus, and Humanicide entitled "Gathering Against Humanity". Cast the bones now, and interpret the threads of circumstance that led to this unholy collaboration, and reveal the Kult's ulterior motivations behind it's contribution.
This came about because Christcrusher contacted us and asked if we would be willing to be a part of this 4 way split. We didn't have any new material at the time so I gave them 2 songs from Order of the Fly and 2 songs from the Krieg split. The reason we agreed to do this was because I really liked what the other 3 bands were doing and figured it to be worthy of our material. There were no ulterior motivations behind doing it.
Again in 2001, the Kult joined forces with unholy brethren to foment evil in the form of the Kult Ov Azazel/Krieg split. The horde was Krieg. Detail now the forces and fates that brought this black consecration to life and how the Kult's essence was channeled and again exposed to the harsh light.
Imperial had heard our "Order of the Fly" release and had said good things about. So one night at one of our rehearsals we were fucking off and someone brought up the idea that a split with Krieg would be killer. That night I mentioned it to Imperial and surprising enough he had been thinking the same thing. So at that moment the idea was born. We intended to do it as a self release between the both of us but neither of us had the proper funds to do it, thus came Genocide to the table and they offered to release this for us. So in Jan. of 2000 we again hooked up the 8 track in our warehouse and channeled forth the blasphemy that is now known as the split CD.
A third time in the year 2001anno Satanas, the Kult did manifest itself. Remove the hidden, cast off the shroud and speak now upon the Kult's infernal missives that were realized upon "Triumph of Fire".
"Triumph of Fire" was our first full length CD and came out on the label we signed with in June of 2000 which happens to be Arctic Music. "Triumph of Fire" was recorded in November of 2000 and this time we used a real studio. This attack proved to be the most worthy out of all the releases and got incredible reviews the world over. I personally believe this to be the best material we had written up to that point. It was an album that showed our true hate for the bastard's domain.
The Kult has grown stronger, evolved and morphed over the length of its serpentine existence, its charred coils asphyxiating the diseased christian plague wherever it is present. Trace the involutions of the ouroboros back now, to the beginning, and speak forth upon the Kult's aural and lyrical progression over the toil and turbulence of the years.
Our music and lyrical approach has not changed over the years. What we were doing back in 1999 we are still doing today. We have not changed a thing about this band and never plan to. Our style and lyrics are very much a part of this band and changing anything would surely destroy our horde.
The Kult is not content to remain in obscurity, hidden from view in its enclave. When the Kult carries its merciless attack of majestic violence upon the pulpit of the live setting, what measures are taken and rites performed to ensure the acidic black ejaculate that the Kult unleashes upon its recordings is present and in full force to be visited upon the captive hordes?
Playing live is very weird for me for the simple fact that I tend to black out and enter into my own world while we perform live assaults. I don't even remember anything once it is all done. All I see is blackness while performing these rituals.
Capturing the fohn wind of the Kult with empirical devices has commenced for the next chapter in the covenant of the Kult. What lies in wait for the christian flock, the blackened hordes, and the grey masses of humanity on this next release?
Total absolute blasphemy!!!! This next piece of torment that we'll be releasing soon will be the most vile, sacrilegious recording we have done to date. It is full of utter hate for the flock of christianity and through this release it will truly show. The name of the album will be titled Oculus Infernum and will consist of 8 tracks summoning the misanthropy from the depths of the pit in praises of the horned one.
The Kult has chosen the malign medium of black metal for channeling its essence of hate. Deconstruct the reasoning for use of this medium as the choice for taking the battle to the christian flock.
We have chosen the medium of black metal because it's the best representation of what we are all about. Any other form of music would not express what it is we are trying to. Black metal has always appealed to my inner self from the first days of hearing it way back when. We're not here to make black metal popular or top use it as a trend like most people seem to do. Black metal from it's music to it's ideology is inherit in us and we release music that we ourselves like, if others like it great but in the end it doesn't fucking matter, as long as we are satisfied with ourselves what others opinions are doesn't mean shit.
The Kult disseminates its hatred, its aura, its message through this medium. Which is most important? The black ideologies? Or the metal?
To me both are important. One does not exist without the other.
There are many other brethren who use this medium faithfully, some who use it to forward a political or life affirming message (NS/Pagan bands), and myriad more who pervert it's essence completely (christian black metal/fagothic). Elaborate upon the use of black metal for political/life affirming purposes, and of it's ultimate perversion by the christians/fagoths.
Well I am not one that is into politics and I have said it before and I will say it again, politics and black metal have absolutely nothing to do with each other, much less for life affirming NS followers. To embrace life is so not black metal, and if anyone thinks it is they are a complete moron. As for xian black metal, there is no such thing. Black metal is the music of Satan, just goes to show you how much these xians really hate their own religion if they have to mimic the style and form of music they say to hate so much. Fuck off to all these life loving cock suckers! Christianity has never been able to come up with its own identity; it has always and will always steal from others and then bastardize it to make it honor the whore that the Romans crucified.
The Kult has issues its wrath in both analog and digital form. Analyze the analog vs. digital forms in all their permutations, and which reigns supreme?
I like both digital and analog releases. Which is better? Hard to say. Analog is a lot warmer of a sound which I really like but at the same time the crispness of digital I dig too. To choose between the two isn't an easy thing for me.
The Kult has revealed its left hand path to the masses through many sets of madrigal creations. Excerpt now the canticle which exhibits the true essence and force of will of the Kult Ov Azazel, and the reasoning for the choice.
Choice is not asked, it's bred. What our lyrics deal with, exhibits our true persons. We have aligned ourselves not only because of birth but through the blood line of the dark forces. Our lyrics have dealt with occult/satanic practices, the destruction of religion, and hatred of mankind.
Look into the blackmirrored pool of the future and divine the future plans of the Kult.
We plan to release "Oculus Infernum" upon the masses and once this is done begin working on new hymns for yet another release. We'll also be re-issuing the "Order of the Fly" recording on LP as well as a live assault on LP, both through Autopsy Stench Records out of Germany. Also sometime in 2003 we'll be doing a split 7" with the German horde Satan's Blood.
