Latest news of Kult ov Azazel Right now we are in the studio recording "Oculus Infernum". This will be our next full-length with Arctic Music and is scheduled for an early 2003 release date. It will consist of 8 songs and I think will be our best release since we formed some years ago. Are you happy with label promotion? Yeah. Arctic Music has been good to us and has done an excellent job as far as I can tell. We'll see what happens with this new album. How is the response of your album? The response for "Triumph of Fire" was nothing that we ever expected. It got almost nothing but killer reviews. It's good that it did but wasn't anything we were expecting. If people accept the music we create than great, if they don't we don't really care. How is the black metal scene in USA? Right now I think it's probably one of the strongest in the world. Lots of incredible bands that hold true to what black metal is all about. I'm not going to do a role call or anything but I would suggest that if the US scene is something you haven't heard then you might want to dig up some of the bands that reside on this soil. What can you say about September 11th? September 11th didn't affect me. Besides it has been coming for a long time. You will see more of this over the next many years. Religious war for the sake of imposing others beliefs on you is what this all comes down to. The cockroaches of the Middle East are no better than the bible toting morons that originate not only here in my country but every other predominate Christian nation. Religion is a disease and one that should be cut out at the core! Do you play live? Yes, not as much now as we have in the past. Due to our living situations it is not possible to play live much. Only Xul and I reside in the same city, where as the other guys live too far away, in one case out of state. Future plans? Get this new album finished and released, possibly tour, start writing the next album and let the process begin all over again. Last words. Thanks for the interview and interest.
